This group has remained integrated with the Women’s Group that started it. Early on they were introduced to shares and savings with each member contributing a small sum of money that is recorded in their individual cash books. Together with the Women’s group, they farm a large plot of land, producing food to sell at market. Their goal is to establish a bore hole for irrigation.
Jumaa is a 16 years old. He is dependent on a wheelchair for his mobility. His mother provides support for all his basic needs on a daily basis such as toileting, eating and bathing.. Jumaa did his primary examination and qualified for secondary education in a special school for the physically disabled. However, a major challenge is money for school fees and transport which means his attendance is not assured.
Your contribution will help empower these incredible individuals to take control of their lives through self-help groups. Together, we can make a meaningful impact!
